Don’t Lose Your Audience

It’s hard to tell if virtual audiences are truly engaged. We depend on body language to understand people and adapt our behavior accordingly. Now, we often navigate in the dark—with audio-only or limited video views. An audience might not really be listening as they “multitask” with:

  • Checking email
  • Scrolling social media
  • Prepping for their next meeting

High Energy Training with an Immediate Impact

Asset 7

Loved the energy, the participation and addressing all the questions. The 1.5 hours went by fast. A sign of a good training program.

I will incorporate thinking about appearance, lighting, camera angle and my voice inflection. I also took away valuable tips on ice breakers and other ways to use virtual meetings to be impactful.

Already made changes to my background and how I can position the camera when I have my video on for presentations. Also plan to do more non-verbal cues during presentations such as nodding, effective use of hands etc.

Asset 8

Your Team Can Master Virtual Messaging and Delivery

At BRODYpro, we know how important it is to come across as credible and compelling. In a virtual environment, this means mastering virtual messaging and delivery skills. Most people are not naturally effective in a virtual environment, which can feel awkward and decrease confidence. Effective virtual presentation skills can be learned and developed. Each training program provides opportunities for participation, including text chat, on-screen annotation, verbal responses, individual practice/reflection, and small-group breakout exercises.

Program includes:

  • Presentation Planning & Preparation: strategic analysis (Purpose, Audience Logistics aka PAL™), engaging content, transitions, introductions, and conclusions
  • Visual Optimization: background, lighting, camera angle, body language, and facial expressions
  • Vocal Expression: incorporating vocal variety, vocal pitfalls to avoid
  • Encouraging Audience Participation: generating questions and feedback
  • Handling Questions & Challenges: thinking on your feet
